John Joyce to Run Unopposed

John Joyce (R) seeks reelection to Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District, He is running unopposed.

The present Republican congressman John Joyce (R) is seeking reelection to represent Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional District. His current term began on Jan. 3, 2023 and ends on Jan. 3, 2025.

He will be unopposed on the April 23 primary ballot. Joyce was first elected to office for the 13th District in 2019. 

Congressman Joyce is a Member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the Vice-Chair of the House GOP Doctor’s Caucus. 

Joyce has endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election.

Before becoming a member of Congress, Rep. Joyce got his Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and his Medical degree from Temple University. He and his wife, Dr. Alice Plummer Joyce, started Altoona Dermatology Associates in 1991. He’s the third generation of his family to be born and raised in Altoona.

In 2023, Joyce was among 98 Republicans to vote for a ban on cluster munitions to Ukraine.

In 2023, Joyce also voted for a moratorium on aid to Ukraine.
